2023: IEC Releases New Standard for Composite Hollow Insulators

In 2023, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) released the IEC 62772:2023 PRV preliminary version, clarifying the definition, test methods and acceptance criteria of composite hollow insulators for substations. Applicable to high-voltage AC and DC substations, it further promotes the standardization and unification of the global composite insulator industry, providing a unified reference for product R&D, production and procurement in various countries.
